Kimberly Poppiti is a tenured Associate Professor of Communication Studies at St Joseph's University on Long Island. Prior to joining the faculty at St. Joseph's, Kimberly chaired the Department of Communication & Performing Arts, and managed the Performing Arts Center, at Dowling College (which closed in 2016, leading her to join the full-time faculty at St. Joseph's).
Kimberly holds a PhD from New York Univeristy (Educational Theatre) and an MFA from Stony Brook University (Dramaturgy). She is actively engaged in educational theatre both on campus and in the larger community. She is the faculty advisor for the SJNY Drama Society, and serves as a Reader of plays for the Association of Theatre in Higher Education's "Judith Royer Excellence in Playwriting Award."
